Facilitated the site to achieve ISO.14001 certification by training directors, managers and technicians in the requirements of ISO.14001 Environmental Management System after we had successfully assisted the company to achieve ISO.9001 Quality System certification three years earlier. Provided Environmental Management System Audit training to internal trainee auditors, who carried out pre-assessment audits for six months prior to successful certification by BSI.

Developed, documented and implemented ISO.14001 Environmental Management Systems (EMS) using and extending in scope the existing relevant ISO.9002 Quality Systems (6 elements) to build up a EMS manual compliant to ISO.14001. Assisted the business and technical managers to identify, prioritise and review Environmental Aspects of the company's products service and plant activities which have a significant impact on the environment (on site and local community). Carried out Risk Assessment training workshop, assisting the client to identify all relevant stakeholders whose needs should be satisfied in the design and implementation of the Environmental Management System.

Presented several in-house training courses on European Community Environmental Standards, including EMAS, and Environmental Management Systems Auditing to several directors, managers and technical specialists. Gave advice regarding the advantages and disadvantages of ISO.14001 and EMAS for pharmaceutical companies. Developed ISO.14001 EMS policies and procedures to support regulatory compliance and business objectives, with emphasis on improving the link between GMP procedures, maintenance and reliability systems and the successful achievement of environmental objectives and targets.

Assisted senior management group to develop, document and implement ISO.14001 EMS by extending the scope and professionalism of existing ad-hoc Responsible Care, OSHA and Quality Management Systems. Carried out ISO.14001 compliance reviews and audits, at intervals during the implementation program, identified non.conformances and gave detailed recommendations to overcome deficiencies.
